| Friday and the first of a three day steam gala and a glorious sunny warm day as well!!
Engines running were BR Std 2 - 78019 visiting from the GCR, newly restored BR - Std 4 80072, Black 5 - 44806 & GWR Pannier tank 6430 between an autotrain.(GWR 3802 & 5643 due to be running later in the gala) A enjoyable run up and down the line (with an interesting start behind 78019 at Llangollen) was followed by going lineside with my camera in the sunshine. Not as high key as the "Steel Steam & Stars II" gala earlier in the year but still a nice day out on a beautiful line. |
