6 Industrial steam engines in steam on this steeply inclined collery line through the Staffordshire countryside. Engines in steam :- 0-6-0`s "Bellerophon," " Florence No2,""Meaford No2""Wimblebury" with Guest engine "Portbury""& 0-4-0 Beyer Peacock ST. All the engines worked a passenger service from Caverswall Rd to Dilhorne Park and a coal empties train to the Foxfield Collery and back to Dilhorne Park up the steeply graded 1 in 19 climb. Excellent day out and with the friendliest staff I`ve visited yet!! |
